1. An 18-year-old must be able to talk to strangers
2. An 18-year-old must be able to find his way around a campus 3. An eighteen-year-old must be able to manage his assignments, workload, and deadlines. 4. An 18-year-old must be able to contribute to the running of a household. 5. An 18-year-old must be able to handle interpersonal problems. 6. An 18-year-old must be able to cope with ups and downs of courses and workloads 7. An 18-year-old must be able to earn and manage money. 8. An 18-year-old must be able to take risks. These seem reasonable I agree with these things like number 2 because if you can't get your way around a campus when you are in college then how are you going to get to class or go around the campus without help. I also agree with number one because if you can't talk to strangers you won't be able to talk to your professor or peers you won't be able to ask for help.

If I could replace or repeal a rule at my school I would replace the searches rule which states word for word.
School officials have the right to search students, students lockers personal possessions of students and vehicles at school or at a school activity when the school official has 1)a reasonable suspicion that a criminal offense or a school rule or regulation bearing on school order or the health or safety of students and staff has been violated, and 2)a reasonable belief that the search will produce evidence of such violation. Well A)holy heck thats a lot to unpack so let's go section to section. 1)in summary it says that if someone thinks and has some proof that you did a crime that hurt the students of said school the teachers of said school or the school itself a search could go through. This makes sense because if a school thinks you might harm someone it should be able to search you. B)ok this is kind of illegal and at the same time the school is taking advantage of a giant loophole that should not exist. It is basicly says that if a teacher thinks that they may find something in your possession that is illegal or could cause harm to a student or teacher they could search you your car or mode of transportation and or your locker. Think about it this way the police can't storm your house on a drug raid without a warrant. So now on to the big loophole in the law. You can disregard everything I just said because apparently anyone under 18 dont have constitutional rights in regards to the fourth amendment, all of these shady things the school could do are perfectly legal. That is the school rule I would take out if I could. What i am thankful for.
Some people might think that they have nothing to be thankful for and until a day ago i said the same thing. So back to what i am thankful for i and thankful for. I am thankful for the fact that i get to live in a country that i don't have to fear for my life. im thankful that the great family and friends that i have, and the thing i am most thankful for is the fact that i have clean food and water. |
