1. In a paragraph or two compare (similarities) and contrast (differences) Night and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
In night and boy in the striped pajamas they are both centered around the holocaust and a young boy in a labor camp. They both are stories that focus on the concept of death and something that we could only imagine how horrible it was. The two differences are that one is a true story and one is not but besides the point. Because in night we see the holocaust through the eyes of elie wiesel, and in bsp (boy in the striped pajamas) the only time we see the inside of the camp is the very end. 2. Choose 1 character from Night or one character from Boy in the Striped Pajamas to analyze. Make note (explain) of their physical appearance, character traits, feelings, demeanor, thoughts, etc. Bruno is a 9 year old with brown hair blue eyes, with a big heart and curious side and let's face it in germany in wwII its not a great thing if your dad is a nazi commander. He has a knack for getting out of trouble till the end. He is a great character because you see him and his mother towards the beginning of the movie but at the end you see them both start to realize that they can start to sense something is off. 3. How have your thoughts or understandings of the Holocaust changed since completing this unit (background research, Night, Boy in the Striped Pajamas? Not really because i am jewish and in sunday school we learned all about the holocaust. 4. Which did you like better and why (book or movie)? Probably the book because it is hard to be horrified by a book but night will horrify you. 5. Any final thoughts or questions you have regarding either the book, movie, or Holocaust in general? Not really.

The 2 celebrities i would like to be friends with are John Oliver and Trevor Noah. the reasons why is because both are so funny and talented. On of trevor noah’s many skills are that he can speak 7 languages the languages are English, Zulu, Tsonga, Afrikaans, Southern Sotho, Xhosa, Tswana. John Oliver has a knack for going to long lengths to do things to do things no other tv show would do. For instance he bought air time on new day, morning joe, and fox and friends in the dc metropolitan area to educate trump on his daughter tiffany, and the nuclear triad just to name a few.
Well with our new president of the united states I was assigned the question of what would my top 3 priorities would be if I were president. My first one would be to roll back our extreme vetting for immigrants. As what we have now is not acceptable for only one immigrant it can take years to get all the forms they need, and that's not counting the fact of background checks which can take a couple years to complete.
Number 2 I would ban torture in a 500 foot area of a place where american money has gone to because we apparently have not banned it. Besides the obvious reason as why torture should be banned there are some reasons like the fact torture does not work to the fact that North Korea has called us brutally medieval for torturing people. One more thing that might make you a bit uncomfortable is that torture is a war crime and I for one think we should not be committing war crimes whatever the case. And last but not least I would toughen gun regulations so that if you can not fly on a plane you can not get a gun. Because if we can’t trust you not to fly on a plane we can’t trust you with a gun. I for in think it is odd that anyone can go to walgreens and buy a gun for only $1000 dollars you could buy a 2003 chevrolet impala ls with 127,857 miles and a average of 8.3 stars out of 10 so its a good car. So 1000 is not much money if you had minimum wage it would take you 3 months just as a disclaimer in 3 months one bamboo stock would grow 29.57575 feet. Over winter break I saw a lot of family. We went to lawton for christmas. I left on the 28 for a 5:30 min drive accounting for stops it was boring because its iowa and all the corn is been harvested so its just sad empty fields.
Though the way back was a lot of fun because of and not limited to Born a Crime by Trever Noah the Martian by Andy Weir, and 11/22/63 a novel by Stephen King. in all 50.45 hours. All of these book are amazing i would go check them out. 1. An 18-year-old must be able to talk to strangers
2. An 18-year-old must be able to find his way around a campus 3. An eighteen-year-old must be able to manage his assignments, workload, and deadlines. 4. An 18-year-old must be able to contribute to the running of a household. 5. An 18-year-old must be able to handle interpersonal problems. 6. An 18-year-old must be able to cope with ups and downs of courses and workloads 7. An 18-year-old must be able to earn and manage money. 8. An 18-year-old must be able to take risks. These seem reasonable I agree with these things like number 2 because if you can't get your way around a campus when you are in college then how are you going to get to class or go around the campus without help. I also agree with number one because if you can't talk to strangers you won't be able to talk to your professor or peers you won't be able to ask for help. If I could replace or repeal a rule at my school I would replace the searches rule which states word for word.
School officials have the right to search students, students lockers personal possessions of students and vehicles at school or at a school activity when the school official has 1)a reasonable suspicion that a criminal offense or a school rule or regulation bearing on school order or the health or safety of students and staff has been violated, and 2)a reasonable belief that the search will produce evidence of such violation. Well A)holy heck thats a lot to unpack so let's go section to section. 1)in summary it says that if someone thinks and has some proof that you did a crime that hurt the students of said school the teachers of said school or the school itself a search could go through. This makes sense because if a school thinks you might harm someone it should be able to search you. B)ok this is kind of illegal and at the same time the school is taking advantage of a giant loophole that should not exist. It is basicly says that if a teacher thinks that they may find something in your possession that is illegal or could cause harm to a student or teacher they could search you your car or mode of transportation and or your locker. Think about it this way the police can't storm your house on a drug raid without a warrant. So now on to the big loophole in the law. You can disregard everything I just said because apparently anyone under 18 dont have constitutional rights in regards to the fourth amendment, all of these shady things the school could do are perfectly legal. That is the school rule I would take out if I could. What i am thankful for.
Some people might think that they have nothing to be thankful for and until a day ago i said the same thing. So back to what i am thankful for i and thankful for. I am thankful for the fact that i get to live in a country that i don't have to fear for my life. im thankful that the great family and friends that i have, and the thing i am most thankful for is the fact that i have clean food and water. |
